Welcome to the home of the Republican Party in Lumberton, New Jersey. We are dedicated to securing a prosperous and vibrant future for our residents and their families. This year was interesting in that for the first time, the State Legislature gave the voters fiscal power to determine their community’s future. Lumberton was one of five local towns that allowed the voters to determine their own fate. The voters overwhelming supported maintaining local taxes. The voters in each of these towns told the elected leaders to find better ways of supplying services or, in the alternative, eliminate the service altogether. That must be the priority for anyone the voters of Lumberton chose in the fall election.
We have two candidates currently running for Township Committee in 2011. Lew Jackson and Sean Earlen are both Lumberton residents who have a strong desire to see this community and its residents thrive economically, intellectually and socially. We accept that tough challenge and, as candidates for Lumberton Township Committee, look forward to finding better ways to provide quality services for our community. Lew and Sean bring knowledge, experience and new hope for our community. Importantly, we recognize that the people of Lumberton care about their neighborhoods and our peaceful way of life. Over the next few months we hope to meet you personally to talk to you about your ideas for a better Lumberton. We will be knocking on doors and creating forums so we can understand what you believe is the necessary and appropriate needs for our community.
